Actor Lee Min Ho has become a king of communication.
On June 8, Starhaus Entertainment, Lee’s agency, reported, “Lee Min Ho has made over 5.45 million friends on Facebook, 4.03 million on Weibo, 0.66 million on Twitter, and 0.23 million on me2day as of June 6. The total number exceeds 10.37 million.”
Starhaus Entertainment also said, “Of all celebrities, athletes, and entrepreneurs, Lee Min Ho has the largest number of friends on SNS.”
It especially draws many people’s attention that 40% of Lee’s friends are from Weibo, which is called the Chinese version of Twitter. A spokesperson for Lee says, “Weibo is the most popular method of communication for young Chinese people. As Lee’s popularity has recently increased, the number of Lee’s friends on Weibo is also rapidly increasing.”
Lee says, “The cheering messages people send me through SNS are giving me a lot of energy when I shoot drama series. I’ll pay back for your love through SBS TV’s new drama series Faith (working title), scheduled to air in August. I’ll try to portray the super warrior Choi Young perfectly.”
